Johnny and June were dumped like Garbage —left among the trash in California’s Antelope Valley. Confused and frightened, they had only each other to hold on to. Despite everything they had endured, they stayed together, waiting and hoping that the person they loved would come back for them.
Someone tried to foster them, but Johnny and June escaped. Somehow, they traveled seven miles back to the dumping site—probably believing their owner might return there for them. Their loyalty was heartbreaking.
Thankfully, Ark 2.0 found them and secured them safely. They received the veterinary care they desperately needed, and then they were boarded while their rescuers searched for the one thing they deserved most: a loving family who would never separate them.
For seven long months, Johnny and June waited. It took time to find the perfect home, but their rescuers refused to give up. They knew these two had already lost enough and that their future had to include one another. At last, the perfect family came along.
Today, Johnny and June are together in Colorado, safe, cherished, and living their very best lives. No more trash heaps. No more running back to the past. Just warm beds, loving hearts, and a forever home they can finally call their own.
Their story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the greatest treasure is found in the most unexpected places—and that love, when it is real, refuses to let go.
Someone called us about a darling little pug who was all alone, sheltering in an abandoned building. Like so many stray and abandoned dogs, he was frightened and too scared to come near anyone.
But time was running out. Winter and snow were expected within 24 hours, and this tiny pug had nowhere safe to go.
We worked quickly and carefully, determined not to leave him exposed to the freezing weather. Just in time, we were able to trap him and bring him to safety. He received the veterinary care he needed and, before long, found his way into a loving home.
What began as a desperate search for shelter ended with warmth, security, and a family of his own. Now this sweet little pug no longer has to face the cold or the loneliness—he is safe, loved, and finally home.
This little doll was securely trapped in East Lancaster and brought safely to receive the veterinary care she needed. After everything she had endured, she was finally given the chance to begin a new chapter.
Today, she is living her best life on beautiful acreage near Yosemite, surrounded by love and wide-open spaces. Even better, she has a sweet canine brother by her side to share it all with.
From a difficult beginning to a peaceful forever home, her journey is a heartwarming reminder of how much a second chance can change a life.
